Our Network
Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand is a member of the global Good Shepherd Network which since 1835 has increased to over 73 countries.
Focusing on issues such as poverty, human trafficking, gender inequality and violence towards women and children the global GS effort provides a range of programmes for women and girls advancing equity and social justice and supporting communities to thrive.
Good Shepherd's international network
Good Shepherd has been committed, and mobilised, for over 200 years, going to some of the most challenging places around the world to work for social change. Good Shepherd International has Special Consultative Status with the ‘Economic and Social Council’ of the United Nations for its work with women and girls.
Good Shepherd International is divided into 4 regions – North America, REAL – Central and South America, Europe/Rimoa and Asia Pacific. The Good Shepherd International Foundation based in Rome fundraises for and supports the development of Good Shepherd projects in countries that are financially challenged. Good Shepherd in Asia Pacific
Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand is one of 19 member countries of the Good Shepherd Asia Pacific region. We work collaboratively to address needs specific to the region including, forced marriage, refugees, child slavery and abuse, forced labour and intra-country human trafficking.
The Mission Development Office (MDO) based in Kuala Lumpur supports and enables the expansion of ‘rights-based, self-sustaining’ programs across the AP region. Together we integrate spirit, charism and culture, justice and good professional practice to partner in programs and projects that enable women and girls to thrive.

Good Shepherd agencies in Australia and New Zealand
Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand leads the governance of the Good Shepherd Network across Australia and New Zealand.
Our network is enriched by the strengths, services and infrastructure of each agency. Across the network we share the same mission, vision, purpose and values. Collectively we have a greater impact on breaking intergenerational cycles of disadvantage for women and girls.
